A lovely villa for us with lots and lots of space for us all to spread out. Took the in-laws along this year and the separate fourth bedroom and bathroom worked very well for us. They were allowed some privacy from us all and allowed to be able to sleep in rather than being woken up by the children every day.
The location of the villa is great and we spent a lot of time walking and cycling around La Manga Club. We had pre-ordered some bicycles from the Activity centre and so it was great that as soon as we arrived we could collect them. We had given our requirements to the owner via email and so once we were sure we had suitable bikes we were off. He gave us details of a few routes to follow and there are some organised group rides for anyone interested. He was very helpful. The bikes gave the children some freedom to explore and we felt quite happy to let them do so.
With resident babysitters we were able to have a lovely dinner in the Amapola restaurant. Food and service were excellent and it has such a great terrace with fabulous views.
Looking forward to our next trip.
We have been to La Manga Club before with a large group before and wanted a small villa for just two people but with a private pool. We knew Las Higueras villas had small pools and as we wanted to travel out of the summer season we felt a heated pool would be a bonus.
The standard of this property is great and it is very well looked after. We were right to opt for the pool heating as it would have been chilly without. Outside temperatures were very pleasant but without a strong midday sun it would have been unlikely that the pool was hot enough, well for me anyway. The garden area is very pleasant and we spent many lovely afternoons sitting in the sunshine.
We went primarily this time to brush up on our tennis and arranged a few private lessons in which we could both participate. The excellent coach we were allocated helped us enormously and I think my partners game has improved, I am not sure I can say the same for mine.
All in all we had a great break and look forward to repeating the experience some time.
We had been recommended to try the Las Higueras villas by some friends who have stayed in one before. They had two bedrooms but we found a three bedroom one for rent which gave us the extra bedroom which we wanted rather than put our three children in the one room. The price difference was worth it in my opinion for the extra space. The quality of the property was super and I cannot fault the service we received before and during our holiday.
We really enjoyed the whole set up at Las Higueras and the children absolutely loved having their own swimming pool. I really appreciated the fact that all the villa was all on one level inside, living in a townhouse at home meant a couple of weeks free of stairs.
My only reservation about booking the same thing type of villa again is that the children did not get the opportunity to mix with other children throughout the holiday. I think that a villa with a communal pool may have made my holiday a little more peaceful if they had made friends. They had each other fortunately but we all know how they can squabble. I suppose if they were old enough I would have felt able to let them go off on their own but we have not got to that stage yet.
We self-catered quite a lot and made good use of both of the supermarkets that are at La Manga Club. We did go off to the large supermarket down the road we were recommended to try if we wanted to do a large shop. It is a ten minute drive away but prices are good and you can buy a little more in bulk. Prices in the La Manga supermarkets were comparable to home I thought. We were able to order a few takeaways and did eat out on a few occasions. Eating out again was comparable to home with a good selection of restaurants that we could walk to.
All in all we had a good holiday and will be looking into going again next year.
This smashing four bedroom villa is in a great location at La Manga Club and having been to many different individual villas over the years we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this one. We were met at the villa when we arrived and shown how everything worked. This was a rather nice touch as usually we just pick keys up from an office. Not a problem but it was very reassuring to have met someone who would be our contact during our stay.
The lounge and dining area was in the centre of the villa with patio doors opening out onto the pool area. This was where we virtually stayed throughout our holiday as it was comfortable and of course we enjoyed the usual beautiful Spanish weather. The overall standard of the villa is high and it is obviously well maintained and I would be very happy to return to this one again.
We could walk to the golf clubhouse and managed to play a few rounds. Very excited about trying the new Golf Academy when we next return, facilities looked really good.
We were pleased that we chose this property because it is on a really good size plot on La Manga Club and yet is still in the main road of villas in the centre of everything. Sometimes the larger ones are on the outskirts. It had everything we wanted and was comfortable, clean, and basically well looked after by the company at La Manga Club who manage it. You could not describe it as luxurious but a good home from home.
We were able to spread ourselves out and had three ensuite bathrooms which proved very useful with the mix in our party. The pool was lovely, large and private. Because of where it was we could walk to all of the shops and supermarket and we did not really use the car we had hired. It sat a lot of the time in the villa driveway. You should consider how much time you will want to drive anywhere or off site in the surrounding areas off of La Manga Club as it might be better to just get cabs to and from the airport. I suppose it also depends on how long your stay is. I have been told though that if you are flying into Alicante airport it is cheaper to hire a car and hardly use it rather than get taxis as it is just does not make economic sense. The journey is over an hour each way so the taxi fare is quite a lot. Taxis from Murcia airport could work and save a little money.
We tried the Indian restaurant, Dharma, for the first time and had a good meal. Food was authentic but best of all were the views from the venue right out across La Manga Club, just wonderful! Do give it a try next time you are there.

We loved our recent stay in Buena Vista at La Manga Club. Thought we would try something a little more on the outskirts of the main area of the Club and so selected this quite new development and small villa with a small private pool. The views are really quite stunning as you are very high up overlooking La Manga Club. My husband drove us in and out of the villa, I honestly would not have liked to have to deal with the hills and bends and so I must admit to not wanting to drive myself anywhere whilst staying there.
The property was new and with modern furnishings which made a nice change from the rustic style villa we usually book. I think overall I prefer the more typical style Spanish property but it is just personal choice and at La Manga Club it is great that there is so much choice.
Having a small private pool was nice as usually you have to book a really large villa to get a private pool. The larger villas are obviously more expensive and just too big for our needs so this was a good choice. We would recommend Buena Vista just make sure you have a head for heights.
Just arrived home and we all had a great weeks holiday!

Thank you for recommending the Monte Claro villa to us, it did not disappoint.
The children could take themselves off to the tennis centre and football course and enjoyed a little freedom from our apron strings. When we asked them to go the supermarket each morning to buy fresh bread and milk there was never any arguments as our villa in Monte Claro was close to the centre that had the large supermarket and so again we felt comfortable to let them go. We had no fear of letting them explore on their own of course laying down some strict ground rules regarding time and boundaries. The resort itself is secure and has a nice feel of a community.
Monte Claro villas are in a nice residential road and although we were right in the centre of things the area was quiet and private. Very spacious and with ample bathrooms we gave the en-suite bedroom / bathroom to my parents. The garden area was also lovely and we could just sit and enjoy the sun. The villa had everything we needed for our holiday and was a real home from home. We hope to return again next year.
We booked this villa because with five bedrooms we thought it would give us the space we needed and the thought of it sitting on the edge of a golf course was very appealing. The standard of the property was very good inside and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.
The pool area is in a private courtyard and it is described as a private area and it certainly is. We were provided with pool towels which helped rather than having to pack some plus we had wi-fi available free of charge. We travelled with two other families as with five bedrooms we thought we would have enough space and it did work very well for us all. Having a private pool was important to us plus being able to walk to the restaurants rather than drive everywhere, again this worked very well for us as we could walk everywhere. We did hire a car just so we could get back and forth from the airport and do our large shops to the supermarkets.
The children really enjoyed the activities they did and we organised everything through the staff at the tennis centre reception who were helpful in trying to accommodate them all. The tennis academies were well run plus football and dance were popular with them as well. The men managed a couple of rounds of golf and found the courses in good order. They paid what they called resident rates which meant they got a discounted price by staying at La Manga Club. They were also able to hire some clubs rather than have to bring them from home.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this particular property and La Manga Club in general.
Nothing but praise for our stay in the Monte Claro villa at La Manga Club. The standard of cleanliness of the villa on arrival was great and we arranged some extra housekeeping during our stay, the local staff were very polite and accommodating and the cost was reasonable.
The pool area was a reasonable size and sufficient for our party and more than anything everyone was delighted to be within close proximity of a supermarket and some cafes and restaurants. The aim of our vacation this year was to meet up with our family who had travelled from around the world and share quality time in a comfortable villa in the sun. The possibility of fitting in a game of golf or tennis was appealing and we did manage to do both, again without driving a distance, we could walk to both.
We had many good meals out and followed the advice of others who recommended several places on the resort to try, all were good. We had a great family vacation and thank all those who were involved in the organisation of our trip.
