We chose a weekend warrior course of tennis for 6 of us and what a great weekend we had. The tennis tuition was excellent and tested us all. We think we improved our game, time will tell and now that our aching limbs have fully recovered. We had a lot of fun and the coaches were very pleasant as well as being very professional and of course great tennis players.
We chose to stay in the Los Olivos apartments as we had read many reviews. They most certainly are in the best spot if you want to play tennis and were very spacious and ample for the needs of the 6 of us, with 2 bathrooms as standard. We did ask for 6 singles beds as we were all female and you might want to make a request for that as we were told that many of the Los Olivos apartments have 1 double bed as standard.
Looking forward to returning again next year.
We chose to stay in a villa with a private pool in conjunction with our tennis break. It was special occasion and treat for our husbands so we thought we would push the boat out and spoil ourselves.
The tennis lessons were really good and a lot of fun. The coaches worked us hard but we learnt a lot and have improved our game.
The villa was in a great location within La Manga Club and as described we could walk from the villa in Monte Claro to the tennis centre within 5 minutes. There were 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so plenty of room for everyone. It meant that after our morning tennis we could return to the villa for lunch, relax in the afternoon around the pool and then we either used the BBQ on the terrace or simply set off again and walked to a nearby restaurant. No driving anywhere for any of us.
La Manga Club has so many places to eat and the Monte Claro villa is very close and within walking distance to the majority of them. Because it is in a residential road it still remains quiet and unaffected by any of them.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would recommend it to others without hesitation.
I took my son and myself off to La Manga Club for a weeks break over the half term and had to write to say what a great time we had and how well everything was arranged.
We stayed in the Los Olivos apartments which look over the tennis courts at La Manga Club and we booked into the tennis academy for both of us. What a great experience the academy was with great coaching and what turned out to be a lot of fun. We then played with people we met for a few games in the afternoon. Court hire is not cheap but between four players it works out ok.
The location of our apartment was perfect as we could get to the tennis within minutes and walk everywhere we needed to get to. For us there would have been no point in hiring a car as it would have just sat outside the apartment for a week. Airport transfers were definitely the way to go.
We will go back for another tennis break sometime in the school holidays as I do not think there is anywhere better than this.
Having stayed in this particular twice before I can highly recommend it as good value for money when you consider other large villas at La Manga Club. It is in a great location within the Las Brisas villas and is very large and spacious in every area and has a good homely feel about it. The pool is a great size for a large group or 2 or 3 small families sharing and a real plus was that we did not have to take pool towels with us for this villa which was a huge help with the mean luggage allowance we got from the airline.
The people who look after the villa at La Manga Club are meticulous and we have found it be to be spotlessly clean on arrival on both occasions. You can walk to all of the amenities and after we did our initial large shop we used the Bellaluz supermarket mostly as it was a little closer.
The tennis centre is a 10 minute walk away which was useful as the children were playing tennis each morning and we hired a tennis court some of the afternoons for an hour. They have taken part in the tennis school now on both visits and they absolutely love it. The coaches make it fun and it is an excellent way for them to make friends and to learn the game. Naturally they can not wait to go back.
Nothing is high rise at La Manga Club and the Las Palmeras apartments are just two storeys and all on one level inside with good access and parking. We were delighted with our apartment and it was a good home from home for our weeks stay. The Las Palmeras pool area is just a minute away and is great for the amount of apartments there.
We could walk everywhere and we were only a 5 minute walk to the tennis centre and the communal swimming pool which anyone can use.
Our children were very keen to join in the tennis courses that run all the time so we enrolled them before we arrived as we were advised to do so by our agent. It is definitely worth prebooking otherwise it is possible they will be full in the popular school holiday weeks. They really enjoyed themselves, had fun, made lots of friends and had a good introduction to the game of tennis. The coaches were very professional and very used to dealing with boisterous youngsters.
We look forward to returning later this year and have selected Las Palmeras again for our stay.
We were recommended to stay in the Monte Verde apartments by friends who knew that we did not like being in the centre of things and preferred the quieter areas.
It was a good recommendation as the quality of the apartments are equal to Los Olivos but the community is generally quieter due to it being on the outskirts of La Manga Club. We had a three bedroom apartment which had two bathrooms and the views were fabulous from our generous terrace.
We also had the use of an indoor heated pool plus the outdoor one but that was a little chilly given the time of year and not really comfortable to use.
Despite being on the outskirts we could walk to our tennis lessons in ten plus minutes and the supermarket in Bellaluz square was also walkable so we hardly used the hire car. I suppose in general a car is useful if you stay at Monte Verde, just depends on how energetic you are.
We would like to return and next time plan to take part in the five day tennis course.
Having been to La Manga Club many times I have tried the various accommodation available. There is something for everyone's budget at La Manga Club but like anything in this life you get what you pay for. I can only say that for me I would stretch my budget a little and stay in the Los Olivos apartments which in my opinion are in the best spot within La Manga Club and are just so spacious in all aspects. Outside of the main summer weeks I have found some bargains to be had for short breaks and good rates for a seven night stay.
I go regularly for tennis coaching, sometimes on my own and other times with a group of friends and we have now come to the conclusion that our preference will be Los Olivos. We like the location as it is directly opposite the tennis centre and you can see the courts from the lovely terraces that the Los Olivos apartments have. We also make very good use of the indoor heated pool. There are two other pools at Los OlIvos but like the majority of pools at La Manga Club they are not heated so the indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi are great to have.
We are able to walk to all of the facilities on offer at La Manga Cub which includes a great selection of restaurants, cafes and bars.
The terraces all have built in BBQs and the great views across the tennis centre to the Mar Menor inlet are really nice. We really appreciate the spacious lounge and dining area and two bathrooms are a must especially when we have six people in the group. I have now stayed in Los Olivos on many occasions and at all times of the year. Despite there being one hundred apartments it never seems to be too busy or over crowded, again I put this down to the great design and the fact that there are two large outdoor pools.
Give Los Olivos a try and I am sure you would not be disappointed with the standard of the accommodation.
We have been to La Manga Club before with a large group before and wanted a small villa for just two people but with a private pool. We knew Las Higueras villas had small pools and as we wanted to travel out of the summer season we felt a heated pool would be a bonus.
The standard of this property is great and it is very well looked after. We were right to opt for the pool heating as it would have been chilly without. Outside temperatures were very pleasant but without a strong midday sun it would have been unlikely that the pool was hot enough, well for me anyway. The garden area is very pleasant and we spent many lovely afternoons sitting in the sunshine.
We went primarily this time to brush up on our tennis and arranged a few private lessons in which we could both participate. The excellent coach we were allocated helped us enormously and I think my partners game has improved, I am not sure I can say the same for mine.
All in all we had a great break and look forward to repeating the experience some time.
Thank you for recommending the Monte Claro villa to us, it did not disappoint.
The children could take themselves off to the tennis centre and football course and enjoyed a little freedom from our apron strings. When we asked them to go the supermarket each morning to buy fresh bread and milk there was never any arguments as our villa in Monte Claro was close to the centre that had the large supermarket and so again we felt comfortable to let them go. We had no fear of letting them explore on their own of course laying down some strict ground rules regarding time and boundaries. The resort itself is secure and has a nice feel of a community.
Monte Claro villas are in a nice residential road and although we were right in the centre of things the area was quiet and private. Very spacious and with ample bathrooms we gave the en-suite bedroom / bathroom to my parents. The garden area was also lovely and we could just sit and enjoy the sun. The villa had everything we needed for our holiday and was a real home from home. We hope to return again next year.
We booked this villa because with five bedrooms we thought it would give us the space we needed and the thought of it sitting on the edge of a golf course was very appealing. The standard of the property was very good inside and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.
The pool area is in a private courtyard and it is described as a private area and it certainly is. We were provided with pool towels which helped rather than having to pack some plus we had wi-fi available free of charge. We travelled with two other families as with five bedrooms we thought we would have enough space and it did work very well for us all. Having a private pool was important to us plus being able to walk to the restaurants rather than drive everywhere, again this worked very well for us as we could walk everywhere. We did hire a car just so we could get back and forth from the airport and do our large shops to the supermarkets.
The children really enjoyed the activities they did and we organised everything through the staff at the tennis centre reception who were helpful in trying to accommodate them all. The tennis academies were well run plus football and dance were popular with them as well. The men managed a couple of rounds of golf and found the courses in good order. They paid what they called resident rates which meant they got a discounted price by staying at La Manga Club. They were also able to hire some clubs rather than have to bring them from home.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this particular property and La Manga Club in general.
