It was great to get away this Easter and despite the chilly weather we still managed to enjoy ourselves.
The Los Altos villas are in such a great spot that we were able to walk everywhere. La Manga Club is getting ready for a new season now with all the restaurants open and offering new menus.
Was a bit windy on the golf course but that did not stop us from enjoying a relaxing break.
I really love the very typical rustic style of villas that you can find at La Manga Club and I prefer Los Altos over the others available as they are in such a good spot within La Manga Club and they have some of the best views. Alto means high in Spanish and so being high up you can not beat the fabulous views you get from the terraces.
The pretty white wash walls, elevated position and good design make them cool for those very hot months. Of course they are air conditioned too but very often I prefer to go without as I find it a little noisy. I have just booked to return later in the year and am really looking forward to returning to Los Altos for my holiday at La Manga Club.
We booked our accommodation purely based on the fact that we were taking part in the tennis programme and wanted to be near the tennis but actually Los Altos was a good choice all round. Close to all of the clubs facilities you can walk almost everywhere and yet once in the villa complex you have a lovely quiet pool to relax around with all the things you need for a really nice break.
We liked the style of the villa, typical Spanish in style and decor and built in such a way that it was cool inside despite it being quite warm outside. I suppose in July and August the fact you have air conditioning is good to have as it must get very hot. The tennis centre was just across the road and so really good if you want to enrol children as its not too far for them to walk to, or if you are escorting them, you can be back around the pool pretty quick.
I liked Los Altos over El Rancho and Los Molinos as the community smaller and less busy and would definitely return.
Property in very convenient spot, walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and tennis club. Ideal for access to the pool. Private and quiet. Villa clean and servicable.
Very helpful people at the management office.
The resort provided all the needs for a good family holiday.
The villa was exactly as described, with the choice of 2 lovely pools, both of which we used during our weeks stay.
On arrival, the villa was clean & tidy, and well maintained. There was a welcome pack waiting for us, which was a great surprise.
We would reccomend Los Altos & Club La Manga in general to friends & family, it is in a beautiful setting, with fabulous weather & in easy travelling distance of to great beaches, Cartagena & Murcia, & the airport.
The only reason I've given 4 stars is due to litter around the shopping/bar areas (I didnt see this on previous visits) We will definitely be back to Club La Manga and the Los Altos Villas.
We normally stay in the El Rancho villas, which we have always really liked but this year we had our accommodation changed to a Los Altos villa due to a problem. However, after spending a week in the Los Altos villa we all agreed that we had fallen in love with these villas and would choose them ahead of El Rancho in the future! (sorry El Rancho!)
The villas are situated in beautiful, tranquil surroundings (slightly hilly, but we knew this in advance and it was never a problem!). The shared pools are much nicer than El Rancho, set in some beautiful settings! The only downside to the shared pools is that some families tend to be quite selfish and take all the sun-loungers; there were times when we couldn't even get 1 to share between the 4 of us! But it's so nice just to be able to step out of your villa and the pool is just there! My children certainly loved the opportunity to spend all day (if they could!) in the pool and one night went for a moonlight swim at 9pm!
The villa itself was beautiful!! Decorated to a very high standard and comes equipped with everything you can possibly need! The property was very clean and we all felt very much at home! The only thing I would say is that my husband who is a chef just couldn't get on with the electronic hobb which was very temperamental and didn't always want to work!
I would reccommend exploring the near-by towns - Los Belones is great for eating out with some lovely reasonably-priced restaurants and we discovered the beautiful fishing village of Cabo de Palos, which has some amazing local shops (their bakery is a must!) and beautiful fish restaurants along the sea front!
We enjoyed a thoroughly relaxed, wonderful holiday! We would love to return and would very much like to bring all our family with us next time!!
This was my 2nd visit to La Manga, and it was great to come back. Our villa was exactly as described, fully equipped, with a spotless kitchen. We even had a boom box which was used every day on the terrace to listen to local radio. The views from the property are stunning and the weather was glorious every day. We had the use of 2 pools, and mostly to ourselves, with one of them in full sunshine right through the day. The pool areas were clean, and the pools were lovely. My only negative comments would be the ants, which were mainly in the bedrooms. Not withstanding that, I would and have recommended the resort to friends & colleagues and will be returning
A delightful, well equipped Villa with every comfort and the splendid, not too small pool just a few steps from the back door. Everything clean and working and we had some super barbecues. Beds and Bathrooms excellent. Dinners on the Terrace overlooking the Mar Menor. Breakfast was on the back Terrace as not in direct sun. In all, highly recommended. The amount of heavy traffic near all the beaches and lack of parking is a drawback and of course we were high season. If you havent got your own, shade from the hot sun is expensive. Some of the prices in the Resort bars and restaurants were high and that applied specially to the Supermarket at Bellaluz eg one of those little packets of 8 cereals which Tesco has for 1 pound was 6 Euros. And wine double what the Supermercados charge in town.
We really had a good time at La Manga Club and the villa was great, as the previous reviewer commented, the views were spectacular. We look forward to coming back to La Manga Club in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay in this villa, the views were simply stunning. The villa was very clean and the management company were very helpful and attentive when we needed them. We did have a car and visited Cabo de Palos and La Manga Strip, a car is very useful to really appreciate the beauty of La Manga Club and the surrounding areas. The beach at La Manga Club is quite small, and the beaches on La Manga del Mar Menor, which are about 10 minutes away are well worth the drive. Thank you for help in arranging our holiday and would like to return to La Manga Club and would certainly stay in Los Altos again .
