We really liked La Colina apartments last year as there are only about 12 or so and therefore it seemed nice and quiet even though we were there in July.
The pool is lovely and more than adequate for the amount of guests staying in La Colina. We had a duplex apartment which was very spacious and set out over two floors. Just bear in mind that one of the bedrooms could be on a different level from the others if you have small children. Property had all you could want in terms of equipment and the small utility area was useful.
We liked being in a central spot within La Manga Club but not in a large development and we could get the children to all of their activities within a few minutes walk. Looking forward to returning this year and planning a half term trip.
We have stayed in Bellaluz on many occasions and wanted to try somewhere different just really for a change but also for something a bit larger as we now have 3 children under 8 years old.
The La Colina apartments were a good choice for us as we rented a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms which happened to be on the ground floor so that was good as our youngest is still not that great with stairs. It was decorated nicely and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to self-cater. We could not afford to eat out every day so this was important to us. We hired a cot for our youngest which was only a travel cot but we did not have to take any bedding as this was included in the hire cost and it was put in our bedroom ready for when we got there.
The groceries left for us on arrival were very handy so we could make a drink and some toast when we got there.
We went to have a look at the childrens club which was only a few minutes walk from our apartment and it looked like a good place to leave the kids if you needed to because you wanted to play tennis or golf I suppose but for us it was too expensive just for a little time off and for 3 kids it was out of our price range.
We feel that the price difference between La Colina and Bellaluz was worth it and we would love to return.
We have just returned from a 10 day break in La Colina, La Manga Club. We rented a 3 bedroom La Colina apartment from La Manga Holidays via the website and it all went very smoothly. The apartment was spacious and very well maintained. La Colina has its own pool with a childrens paddling pool. We also used the large pool by the tennis centre. The club itself is great for families and the junior club was great for the kids. We played pitch and putt golf and crazy golf and went to a number of the restaurants on the club, including Si bar, Maribels and a really nice dinner on our last night at La Finca. I would definitely recommend La Manga Club to family and friends.
The family had a wonderful holiday at La Manga Club in June the apartment was perfect in a lovely quiet environment but within walking distance to the restaurants and supermarket at Bellaluz. The location was also good for the tennis club as our daughter took part un the tennis acdemy which she thoroughly enjoyed. We hired bikes from the activity club and really took our time to explore the area, including rides to Los Belones, Calblanque national park and the beaches along the Mar Menor. The ride back up to La Colina was very steep and would not recommend to the elderly as the walk is quite and incline. We had a great time and would like to visit the club again next year and would choose La Colina again.
