Thank you for arranging a great break for us recently.
We very much liked Los Molinos and the layout of the villas in the pretty gardens. The pool area was empty because it was a bit too chilly to swim but the beautiful blue skies and warm days made up for that.
We went mainly to play a few rounds of golf, dust off the cobwebs and to escape the poor weather at home.
We would recommend Los Molinos villas to everyone and for those with a young family as the pool must be a great place for the children to socialise in the summer months.
When we decided on hiring a villa with its own private swimming pool we realised that options are limited if there are only the two of you and you do not have a large budget but we then discovered the Las Higueras villas at La Manga Club. They are a great choice if you would like your privacy and as they sleep four people they are very spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The villa has a small private garden and the location is excellent as you can walk everywhere. The lounge area overlooks the pool and with a well equipped kitchen it felt very much like home.
We had a great time playing golf on all three of the fantastic courses and were delighted to see how well maintained they are. We did not pre-book tee times as we were happy to make up a four ball where there was a slot. We hired clubs from the clubhouse and although quite expensive it made life easier than transporting them from home and paying the airline costs.
Came back wanting to return again in the not too distance future.
We spent our holiday sharing with our close friends in a four bedroom El Rancho villa at La Manga Club. We have children of the same ages who get on well and to save a little on cost we decided to rent a larger villa rather than two small ones.
It worked really well as there was plenty of space and enough bathrooms that we could manage fine. The main dining area and seating inside was fine for breakfast and we did spend a lot of time using the outside dining area and terrace as we used the built in BBQ a lot. The supermarkets sell some great BBQ packs.
We lost the men to the golf courses on a couple of days and headed off on others to the local Mar Menor beach as its great for paddling and getting out the buckets and spades. Lots of places there to grab coffee or lunch. Most of the time we stayed around the pool that was the nearest to our villa although you can use any that are part of El Rancho.
We have rebooked again this year and secured our 5% discount, counting the days.
Have just spent a few weeks in the Spanish autumn sunshine which has no doubt set us up for the winter here.
We wanted to be in a good spot so we could walk to most places and the Golf Bungalows fitted the bill.
We were pleased to see that most of the restaurants and cafes remain open during the quieter months so we could eat out when we wanted but we also catered for ourselves as the supermarkets always remain open and are well stocked.
The beautiful blue skies and very pleasant temperatures make this resort a great getaway for some autumn sun. One of the benefits of staying in a Golf Bungalow are the fabulous views of the golf course which are right on your doorstep.
Consider this great resort at any time of the year when you next decide to go away, you won't be disappointed.
This smashing four bedroom villa is in a great location at La Manga Club and having been to many different individual villas over the years we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this one. We were met at the villa when we arrived and shown how everything worked. This was a rather nice touch as usually we just pick keys up from an office. Not a problem but it was very reassuring to have met someone who would be our contact during our stay.
The lounge and dining area was in the centre of the villa with patio doors opening out onto the pool area. This was where we virtually stayed throughout our holiday as it was comfortable and of course we enjoyed the usual beautiful Spanish weather. The overall standard of the villa is high and it is obviously well maintained and I would be very happy to return to this one again.
We could walk to the golf clubhouse and managed to play a few rounds. Very excited about trying the new Golf Academy when we next return, facilities looked really good.
I really did not want to stay in an apartment but when there are only the two of you the choice is usually a bit limited.
I found this one bedroom villa at La Manga Club and really liked the look of the area it was in. The area is called Los Molinos, which means the windmills, and there are a lot of larger villas plus the few which have just 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom and with a small kitchen and lounge they are perfect for a couple. The pool was lovely with a nice poolside snack bar and we could walk almost everywhere to all of the places in La Manga Club to eat.
We managed to get onto the super golf courses and were paired up with some other players who recommended some places to visit during our stay if we wanted to venture off of La Manga Club. We spent the day in the nearby port of Cartagena which is now very popular with the cruise ships. It was a 40 minute drive and a nice day out to sample a busy bustling Spanish city. Returning to our cute little villa was a pleasure and one we hope to repeat in the future.
The thought of staying in a penthouse apartment was very appealing and something different from our usual choice of holiday accommodation. We chose to go and try La Manga Club and a Monte Verde penthouse apartment as they looked spacious and with nice large terraces for eating and cooking outside. We have been to other resorts in the same area in Spain.
We were not disappointed when we arrived and the people who look after the property were very welcoming and pointed us in the right direction for shopping and eating out. We enjoyed walking around La Manga Club and have to say everywhere was very well maintained. We managed a round of golf which was a little expensive but very enjoyable.
Unfortunately I had to visit one of the pharmacies, I understand there are two, during my stay and must say how fantastic the staff were. They could not have been more helpful and spoke excellent English. I went to the one opposite the petrol station. I think it is very reassuring to know that such a good service is on site and available.
Thank you for a great holiday.
We went to La Manga Club earlier in the year and have only just got around to submitting a review. We travelled in March which was out of season for the resort and whilst it was very quiet it made for a truly relaxing holiday and it felt like with had a private swimming pool as no one else was around.
There are about 100 El Rancho villas built around good sized, but unheated pools. Each pool is shared by about 10 villas of different sizes and each of the pools has a small childrens paddling pool alongside.
We flew into Alicante Airport and picked up a car from the airport and made the straightforward journey of about an hour to La Manga Club. We arrived early and the villa was ready upon our arrival and it was a nice touch to have a grocery pack in the villa upon our arrival.
The villa itself was very pleasant and had a Spanish rustic fell to it and we did feel like we were actually staying in an upmarket Spanish community. There is plenty of space between the villas and they are have nice landscaped gardens. We were allocated a 3 bedroom El Rancho villa but had only booked a 2 bedroom villa, but it was nice to have the extra living space and facilities. The villa had 2 private terraces and one included a BBQ and outside seating area, which was a lovely way to spend an evening with a bottle of wine.
The villa was very well equipped and had all equipment and utensils required to dine in and prepare lunches and dinners. We did arrange to have a mid stay clean whilst we were there and the management company were very pleasant to deal with and were very helpful in recommending a couple of good restaurants in the local town of Los Belones and Cabo de Palos.
We did manage to play a couple of rounds of golf on the West and North golf courses at La Manga. However the green fees a little expensive, but the courses are of a very high standard and are both memorable courses to play. We could not play the South golf course as a handicap certificate is required.
We did wander off the Club a few times and found some lovely little restaurants on La Manga strip including Parador and Gregorys an Argentinian meat restaurant. We also found Via Romana in Los Belones, which was recommended, a well priced Italian restaurant. I think that due the high competition in the area the standard of the restaurants has to be very high for these to survive.
La Manga Club itself is very large and almost like a small town, with many restaurants, bars, shops and a supermarket. A car is very useful if you plan to go off the resort, although there is a taxi service available.
All in all a very good and relaxing break. It would be interesting to see the contrast in the height of the summer, when we understand that La Manga Club is much busier. We would definitely return again in the future.

We stayed at La Manga Club which gave true 5 star service with wonderful views from the bedroom which had a large balcony and every comfort required.
The local recommended restaurants gave an excellent standard of food and real pleasing service.
Whilst their we played three rounds of golf on the three available courses. Each course has its own form of challenge and were a credit to the ground staff. My favorite however was the North course.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this venue to any of our friends.
I had a fantastic time, the apartment was great, well fitted out and bigger than expected.
It is the 2nd time I have been with this company and they are always spot on.
The Golf and package I received was excellent value for money, would definately book with La Manga Holidays again.
