We were pleased that we chose this property because it is on a really good size plot on La Manga Club and yet is still in the main road of villas in the centre of everything. Sometimes the larger ones are on the outskirts. It had everything we wanted and was comfortable, clean, and basically well looked after by the company at La Manga Club who manage it. You could not describe it as luxurious but a good home from home.
We were able to spread ourselves out and had three ensuite bathrooms which proved very useful with the mix in our party. The pool was lovely, large and private. Because of where it was we could walk to all of the shops and supermarket and we did not really use the car we had hired. It sat a lot of the time in the villa driveway. You should consider how much time you will want to drive anywhere or off site in the surrounding areas off of La Manga Club as it might be better to just get cabs to and from the airport. I suppose it also depends on how long your stay is. I have been told though that if you are flying into Alicante airport it is cheaper to hire a car and hardly use it rather than get taxis as it is just does not make economic sense. The journey is over an hour each way so the taxi fare is quite a lot. Taxis from Murcia airport could work and save a little money.
We tried the Indian restaurant, Dharma, for the first time and had a good meal. Food was authentic but best of all were the views from the venue right out across La Manga Club, just wonderful! Do give it a try next time you are there.

Thank you for recommending the Monte Claro villa to us, it did not disappoint.
The children could take themselves off to the tennis centre and football course and enjoyed a little freedom from our apron strings. When we asked them to go the supermarket each morning to buy fresh bread and milk there was never any arguments as our villa in Monte Claro was close to the centre that had the large supermarket and so again we felt comfortable to let them go. We had no fear of letting them explore on their own of course laying down some strict ground rules regarding time and boundaries. The resort itself is secure and has a nice feel of a community.
Monte Claro villas are in a nice residential road and although we were right in the centre of things the area was quiet and private. Very spacious and with ample bathrooms we gave the en-suite bedroom / bathroom to my parents. The garden area was also lovely and we could just sit and enjoy the sun. The villa had everything we needed for our holiday and was a real home from home. We hope to return again next year.
We booked this villa because with five bedrooms we thought it would give us the space we needed and the thought of it sitting on the edge of a golf course was very appealing. The standard of the property was very good inside and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.
The pool area is in a private courtyard and it is described as a private area and it certainly is. We were provided with pool towels which helped rather than having to pack some plus we had wi-fi available free of charge. We travelled with two other families as with five bedrooms we thought we would have enough space and it did work very well for us all. Having a private pool was important to us plus being able to walk to the restaurants rather than drive everywhere, again this worked very well for us as we could walk everywhere. We did hire a car just so we could get back and forth from the airport and do our large shops to the supermarkets.
The children really enjoyed the activities they did and we organised everything through the staff at the tennis centre reception who were helpful in trying to accommodate them all. The tennis academies were well run plus football and dance were popular with them as well. The men managed a couple of rounds of golf and found the courses in good order. They paid what they called resident rates which meant they got a discounted price by staying at La Manga Club. They were also able to hire some clubs rather than have to bring them from home.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this particular property and La Manga Club in general.
I was really looking forward to our holiday in the villa we had chosen as it seemed like it would be in a nice quiet location which is what myself and friends needed after a hectic few months. It did not disappoint as Albatros is just on the outskirts of the many communities that make up La Manga Club yet within walking distance of most of the facilities available.
There are only a handful of villas which all have their own private swimming pools and the layout is like a cul de sac so no through traffic or people wandering by.
The views from the pool terrace are fabulous and the villa was spacious and comfortably furnished with all the home comforts you would expect in a holiday home. We were able to dine al fresco on the terrace and enjoyed the privacy of the villa.
We were not too far from the supermarket in the Bellaluz square but the better one in my opinion is the one in Las Sabinas centre a bit further away for us but they were happy to deliver so a large order was not an issue. It just has a larger selection of fresh meat and fish but Bellaluz was fine daily buys like milk and bread.
Overall we loved the location of the villa, the standard was good and represented good value for money.
Having stayed in the Monte Claro townhouses before I knew that the location would suit us well and a villa with private pool located in the same road would be a nice change and treat for us all.
The villa was well equipped with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a downstairs loo and was spacious in all the living areas. I particularly liked the private garden and pool area and our contact on site was really helpful when we arrived, making sure we were fully acquainted with the villa and surrounding area. Of course we knew our way around but it was good to know she was there to help if we needed it. Lounging around our own pool was definitely worth the extra cost.
We spent several evenings in our favourite restaurant which has been there for many years, Casa Victors. During the summer months they hold a really good outdoor BBQ and their pasta dishes are great. It is a family run place and you always get a warm welcome and you are sure to find something you like on the menu.
We did discover this year that there is a Go Karting track not more than five minutes drive from La Manga Club, it is not Formula 1 but it is a lot of fun. It is on the way to Cabo de Palos which is a really nice traditional Spanish fishing village and also worth a visit to the Sunday market held there each week. The Miramar restaurant aslo in Cabo de Palos is worth a visit for some local Spanish cuisines and excellent fish dishes on the menu.
Great holiday had by all and I am sure we will back again next year.

You have not mentioned the superb restaurant, Amapola, really first class.
Not cheap but the standard of the food is superb and service hard to beat. Give it a try for a special occasion.
We were delighted to revisit Canelas restaurant again this summer.
We always arrive and have a drink at the bar before we are seated in this wonderful rustic restaurant. The menu is varied and never disappoints and we are always sad to leave when our taxi arrives late into the evening.
Might be worth making a reservation if you have a special celebration you want to enjoy there.
We managed to book a week at short notice for a good price and the booking process was fine although as we only got details of how to get the key the day before we left we were a little nervous! The villa we stayed in was well equipped and superb. Wifi and sky TV were great for us and the kids. The pool was great and shared between about 5 groups. The only minor issue was it was a bit deep for our 5 and 7 year old to stay in on their own. The facilities for sport and eating we're good and the supermarket at las sabinas was excellent. The activities were quite pricey but as the facilities were so good in the main we didn't feel ripped off. Would love to go back
From cradle to grave, sporty or lazy, La Manga has something for everyone, party or quiet. The location is within easy reach of all amenities and the many restaurants. There is something to suit any budget and most of the restaurants provide food to a consistently high standard. The property's and surrounding areas are maintained tin excellent order and the area is very clean. The villas are fully equipped and will meet all needs. The staff throughout the resort are friendly, professional and always helpful. Arrival, departure and any special requests are met with prompt efficiency. There are activities during the day and evening for those who wish to participate and they cover all abilities and ages. I would definitely recommend La Manga
La Manga is a great resort for families, with lots of activities available for all ages. We stayed at Los Naranjos, next to the tennis centre, which was ideal for us. All neighbouring villas were families with children of similar ages, which meant the kids all played together in the central pool.
The swimming pool was a bit deep, 1.2 metres to 2 metres, though we also had access to the pool at the tennis centre which had toddler/childs pool.
The villa and all pools were very clean and kept to a good standard and the supermarkets had everything we could need and were very well stocked.
We walked everywhere as we were so central. It took around ten minutes to walk to Bellaluz square, though there are a few steep hills. Also walked to the cliff top at the private beach (took 20 minutes), but definitely need a car to reach the beach - dusty long, winding road with no pavement.
The prices for golf and tennis, as well as eating in most restaurants are on the high side, but we felt the standard was such it was worth it.
One recommendation would be to advertise better the activities. The online application did not detail everything. Definitely will go again, but next time will rent a car.
