We loved our recent stay in Buena Vista at La Manga Club. Thought we would try something a little more on the outskirts of the main area of the Club and so selected this quite new development and small villa with a small private pool. The views are really quite stunning as you are very high up overlooking La Manga Club. My husband drove us in and out of the villa, I honestly would not have liked to have to deal with the hills and bends and so I must admit to not wanting to drive myself anywhere whilst staying there.
The property was new and with modern furnishings which made a nice change from the rustic style villa we usually book. I think overall I prefer the more typical style Spanish property but it is just personal choice and at La Manga Club it is great that there is so much choice.
Having a small private pool was nice as usually you have to book a really large villa to get a private pool. The larger villas are obviously more expensive and just too big for our needs so this was a good choice. We would recommend Buena Vista just make sure you have a head for heights.
Have stayed in a 3 bedroom Las Higueras villa before which is a nice bungalow type villa in a good central spot with a small private pool. When I heard that a new development of small villas with their own private pools was being built up in the mountains I thought that they might be worth a try on a next trip.
Really enjoyed staying in the villa which was modern and very nicely furnished. It is so nice when all the bathrooms and kitchen are virtually new. We could not really walk anywhere as the roads to the villa were steep but that did not bother us because we always like to revisit our favourite restaurants which are scattered all over the Club.
Really enjoyed Canelas restaurant if you have not been there before give it a try, you will find it hidden in the lemon groves as you enter the main into the Club. In the summer there are tables outside and in the winter a huge open fire roars away inside. German owned I think with a great Mediterranean menu.
